Emerson is a sophomore at Troy High School in Fullerton California where he maintains a 3.4 GPA. He plays club hockey for the T1EHL Anaheim Jr Ducks U16AAA. Emerson has competed in AAA/elite level sports since a very young age. He has participated in several USA Hockey sanctioned Camps and elite-level tournaments in North America and Canada, including the Brick Invitational as a member of the Western Selects Team (Edmonton), the Fargo international Squirt tournament (Fargo ND), and the Quebec International Pee Wee Tournament (Quebec), as a 14UAAA Los Angeles Jr Kings.
Emerson is socially conscious and believes in paying his blessings forward whenever possible. He understands how being a positive influence and having integrity can impact an outcome. His influence with the Anaheim Ducks Fan Development management team created an opportunity to get Hermosa Drive School into the i3 varsity Roller hockey league to as part of the S.C.O.R.E. Program. They are the first public school in Orange County to be accepted into this league. He's also instrumental in Hermosa receiving an outdoor hockey rink and new digital learning equipment for their learning center, both projects are sponsored by the Anaheim Ducks organization.
As a volunteer, Emerson is involved with the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, where he supported the cause by assisting with book distribution, and registration support. He’s passionate about doing his part to eliminate homelessness in Orange County and participates in the Santa Ana homeless encampment and cleanup project.
Emerson has many interests which include skateboarding, photography, drawing, music, exotic food, travel, and fishing and fashion. He’s learning Spanish and German as second languages and knows sign language. He's also a USA Hockey certified referee since 2018. His longer-term plan is to play junior hockey, and God willing for a Division I college program.
